I'm considering purchasing the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D1 Side Step Bars for my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door. Any reviews or recommendations? My biggest concern is durability. Note: the Jeep is not used for off-roading. If it ever was, it would be light-off-roading.

Currently I have the Dominator D6, I think. They were already installed when I bought the Jeep. This model mounts to the body and pinch seam. As far as a step, they work well and are plenty strong. I will see how they hold up as a slider next month at the Jamboree. They do hang down a bit, for the vertically challenged. Might be an excuse to purchase a new set.

I included pics of the steps and mounts

I can post pictures after the Jamboree next month to see how they held up.

Thanks for the response and the pictures. The Jeep we just purchased has simple rails on it already, so I assume they will need to come off in order to install the step.

More than likely, my Rubicon Rails were already gone as these steps replaced them.

Frame mounted version here. Tough as hell. If you offroading they’re great protection. If you’re just on the street they will defend against those t-boning mini vans all day.

I have the D1s on my Ram TRX and the D6s on my Ram 3500. I like their styling, and they are great for a step and to keep gravel that is thrown up by the front tires from causing rock chips in the paint. They are not strong enough to survive hitting anything offroad. I did lightly hit the driver side of the TRX D1 running board on a stump, and it bent badly enough that it needed replaced.

So they did not hold up well. They did protect the pinch seams. Anyone want to buy some slightly used side steps?
