The witech 2 software forces us to do software updates sometimes. It pops up with a map of all modules and color codes them with software versions so monkeys can’t mess it up. Some are labeled mandatory, others are suggested.
A new Tazer would fix the problem (if there was one).
I must admit I had not updated my Tazer for probably 2 years..... It took a good while. Downloaded 4-5 fixes/changes. Not much changed after plugging it in I really had only changed some TPMS pressures, tire sizes, and minor other things.

It functions just like it always did, and now I have all the latest firmware and so on. It a good thing.

I did get a text back from Zautomotive and they did say there was a fix for the Tazer if it had happened as I fisrt thought. Thankfully it was not needed, but good to know the "restore" is there.

All imput was appreciated from the Jeep family.

You need to unmarry and remove the Tazer JL and reconnect the 2 connections at the security gateway.

IF you leave the 2 security gateway connections disconnected the Service Department's WiTechll will not be able to deal with/talk to you JL.
.............

ALSO, while you are there.. Ask to talk to the Service Manager. Politely tell the Service Manager you are very concerned about the battery(2) health on your JL ..... Ask that they LOAD TEST both batteries and let you see the load test results.

Without load test results no one knows what the health status of the batteries is.

By the way, Load Testing requires that the batteries be separated and both fully charged separately. Takes about 2 hrs. per battery to charge and load test.

IF, if they do not provide load test results (2 separate printouts) they did not load test both batteries. Again, charging & load testing the 2 batteris, will take 4 hrs. total time .... 2 hrs. for each battery.
That’s some good information right there. I actually learned something from this
