Freedom top bracket question. Help needed.

Long story short, have a 2dr JL that came with a factory soft top. Bought a hardtop off a guy locally. Did my research & knew to ask for the 2 front and 2 back brackets for the Freedom top also.

Got the back 2 (T40 bolts) installed no problem. (See pics) Went to install the front 2 and there’s nothing for the T30 bolts to “screw into”. Am I missing a part? Did I forget a part?

Kind of hard to get a picture with a flashlight but that bracket is a two piece bracket and it looks like you only have part of it.

yep...looked again and theres another bracket behind it that I would assume has the threaded holes for attaching

Well, he needs the other half of part 7. He has the "L" bracket that provides the adjustment for the Freedom Panel and needs the base that bolts to the windshield frame.

Yes I know, pretty sure he has to buy the whole "part" not just the base piece

Very helpful. Thank you all! I had seen that diagram previously and since part 7 looked like 1pc, I thought I had it all.

So the back half of that bracket is most likely still attached to the sellers windshield frame (with the part #8 bolts) correct?


I’m going to start by reaching out to the guy I bought it front and see if I can get the missing 1/2 of part 7 first.

Most likely still there, hope the Seller will work with you on getting the rest of the bracket.
