I found this under my dash as I was installing a REDARC trailer controller. It just sort of fell out! I googled it and it appears it’s some sort of a GPS tracker that dealers install when the vehicle is taken into inventory.
The question is, does I it interact with the Jeep Nav system and can it be safely removed without causing any problems?
i have no idea where it was mounted as it just fell down from under the dashboard.
The red light is on and the green light is blinking with the ignition off.

It is a vehicle tracker so did you pay for it when you bought your Jeep? if so you should have some kind of App to install that you can see where your Jeep is at all times especially if it gets stolen. If you didn’t pay for it then the dealer just left it in there it was added your Jeep after it arrived at the dealer so yes you can just disconnect it.

No, I didn’t pay for it. I think the dealer either forgot about it or it was the previous owners. I bought a 2020 JLRU completely loaded with 2700 miles on it. The original owner returned it to the dealer because he couldn’t aff ord the payment, at least that’s the story. It’s totally fine, zero issues except for the tracking device. One odd thing is my automatic stop/start has never activated once in 2000 miles!

Has no problems except for a feature not working. Hmmm.

Hi, today I found Spireon GPS locator in my car. It was disconnected, just laying there. Is there any use for it? It seems it should be connected do OBD from wheere it have power in two cables, then fuse and the connector and then locator itself. THere is S/N and Imei. Can I use it somehow?

I had to make the call just last week to a customer to tell them to pay their bill to fix their no start condition. These things are usually tied into the ignition start signal wire.
