Mounting handheld tracker

Anybody mount their gps tracker I have a Garmin Inreach mini that I carry for an emergency but would like to mount it or hang it somewhere. Right now I just leave it on the top of the dash and it gets backed in the sun or bounced around when on a trial

I use a Cool Tech JL Mic mount with Ram 1 inch ball base, a short arm and Ram Mount X-Grip XL for my phone. It would probably be good for a tracker.

@johnparjr RAM makes a specific “spine mount” for Garmin products with a “spine adapter” on the back. Although none of the pictures of the inReach Mini show the spine on it, Garmin’s website states that a spine adapter comes in the box.

If you have several items to mount, you might consider springing for a 67 Designs rail mount, or the Vector eDock. Or keep costs down, and use a single mount location - there are a few options for those. One of those other options might also keep it out of the sun.

You can easily track the phone by using a simple app. I have been using this one to track my daughter phone https://spyic.com/phone-track/track-my-daughters-phone-without-her-knowing/ overall it's a nice one. Give me instant updates.

Be sure to consider what will happen if the passenger airbag deploys when mounting things on/above the passenger grab bar.
