The real answer here is steel. Takes a beating, wont crack, can be straightened enough on the trail to hold air by using a hammer.
a little hammer time, a shot of rustoleum and will be ready for the car show on Sunday...

https://Titan-7.com - T-AK2, off road, also T-AK1. . Love the wheels, true forged, light, beadgrip knurled. That said, it was a year 8 months between getting the wheels and the back ordered center caps, and when received the front didn’t fit and had to be drilled for the axle.

forged titanium lugs available but their products aren’t cheap.

Searching for the best rated/strongest forged wheels, not just machined, although I have heard and/or seen that some forged wheels are machined., Anyway - looking for insight into the wheels and also - has anyone changed their lugnuts from OEM to titanium, or something as strong?

Putting together the strongest setup to avoid a disaster.

Thanks.
I meant mounting studs, not lugnuts. Sheared off wheel studs due to overtorque by tire shop. Replaced studs, but looking at maybe replacing all the way around. Insurance, not asthetics. I’m probably too overbearing but I don’t want my wheel assembly separating like the one on the TJ ( I think) that the wheel separated A couple of years back (YouTube had the video).

ARP probably makes better quality wheels studs than OEM. Still you can hand wring and what if yourself out of a whole lot of money needlessly, But it is your money after all.

Installer at Discount Tire told me a while back they replace a lot of OEM studs on Jeep Wranglers. Is it true, is it a big deal? Not sure, all I know is I sheared off a couple during routine maintenance and I have to ask myself - is it worth the confidence factor to just not have to deal with that again? Replacing a stud isn’t hard, but it’s still a pain. YouTube video showed me how to do it. The corrosion aspect is another factor. I drive my vehicles for decades. Fix it with a better part than OEM if that is available. Jeeps are great in that regard due to the aftermarket support.

I’ll probably be better off using the OEM studs and lugnuts vs switching over to Ti for both. For now. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Thanks for pointing these out. Are you happy with them, balance well, balance weights stay attached, no air leakage, or other problems? I may go with the T-AK1.

Do know- Titan7 is a smaller specialty wheel company. They make wheels in runs and it can be some time between runs. It was 6 months between ordering and delivery. Caps a year 8 months later, they claimed moving production and a new style among excuses. I pre ordered when they were OOS to insure not missing the next run. Also, my new McGard acorns wouldn’t work the socket rubbed the wheel, Tire shop had black Gorilla Splines, McGard’s to the GC.

No issues other than the waiting and the mentioned flush front center caps not clearing the front axle. Should you get them use care drilling, it ended up pretty thin at the logo cut outs. Excellent balance, after install I nearly accused them of not balancing the spare, then spotted one small weight, but Toyo AT3 that also balanced well on the stock wheels. Expensive, but not really for true forged at $500 a wheel , but another ~ $600 for 5 caps with shipping and confiscatory Ca sales tax.

Oh yeah, the supplied valve stems weren’t TPMS capable.

That is the only color in that model that shows in-stock on thier site and I found a vendor on ebay with them, but I think they are more sarge green than 41. Excuse the poor photo edit.

A perfect color match is difficult, especially looking at on line pics that vary from actual anyway. Too bad we can’t see colors in person….. any doubt see B&P showing different shades….. rather the usual black, bronze, shiny . 🤷🏼‍♂️

@y2kcbr600 - have you checked out their site, free shipping on first orders. Not big overall, but helps.

Hard to see what you are showing. Are you saying you had to turn the center Caps over, machine out the center structure to make sure they pop in? I am looking at the T-AK1 wheels and am confused on which center cap fits, the tall center cap or the ”Bespoke” cap? do you know Which one fits?
