Fabricated my own foot pegs out of scrap metal that I had in the garage....

Pipe x2
Nut and bolt x2
U- bolt x1
Tire stem caps x2

Took the pipe and welded the bolt on it....(made sure that the bolt was the correct length and diameter for the hinges)

Drilled a hole through the pipe and slid the u- bolt through it. Welded it in place and trimmed it to angle the foot peg a little so it would be more comfortable.

Cleaned up the welds and painted them black. Put a tire stem cap on the end to protect the paint... might have to use something else... trial and error will dictate!

Will use either rubber washers or poly washers to also protect the hinge from the foot peg when I use them....

I'm trying to figure out what you're making these for and where you're mounting these. The hinge bracket outside the Jeep?

I thought so. I wonder if the part with the valve stem cover that contacts the side of the Jeep will put a dent in the side when you push too hard on it. Do you have the ability to cut a square piece of metal that you could weld on and put a piece of rubber (like a tire patch) on the vehicle side? I just think that will disperse the pressure over a bigger area and possibly prevent it. The stem cover has so little surface to disperse the pressure.

Nice design and work that you've done.

That's a great idea.... it makes sense.... I'll definitely fab that in....I think you're right, I will need to spread out the surface area to minimize possible damage and disperse pressure on the body.... thank you for your input!!!!!:like:

I ordered these....https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GTGJD18/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_G.o6Eb7385PKZ

They need a flat surface machined where it sits on the hinge. After a year of using these it rubbed the protective coating off the hinge sleeve. I had to swap out the sleeves with new ones.

Sucks because I like them. I may try a metal washer with two nylon washers on either side to see if that helps.
