I recently purchased and installed the Flowmaster Outlaw extreme Exhaust. It sounds great, but a little louder than I expected overall. My 2019 JLU had a resonator but no catalytic converter.
I'm considering modifying the exhaust to add the resonator back on with the outlaw extreme.
Has anybody done this and/or can share their opinions on how the resonator may affect the sound to a more tolerable level?

As somebody with this exhaust waiting to be installed on their Jeep I looked in the muffler and already knew it was going to be loud. I wouldn't even call it a muffler to be honest. Did you not look at it before it was installed or did you take it somewhere I'm just wondering?

This is the one I have I assume yours look similar?
Of course I did my research. But you do not get 100% idea of sound from a YouTube video.
My post is asking for opinions or experience with pairing it with the stock resonator.

It's going to make it quieter but nobody else can tell you if it'll be right for you or not. All you can do is try and see. The biggest hurdle now is the Flowmaster pipe and muffler is all 3 inch diameter and the stock resonator isn't so it's not just going to bolt back on anymore.

I'm wondering if anyone went through this or similar modification with incorporating stock resonating with said or similar aftermarket exhaust.
Thank you for your input. I also believe it will reduce sound levels.
I'll fabricate an adapter to 3" and perhaps weld it as one piece to the 3"...??
