It can't just be me can it?

How many of you put away before tax dollars into flexible spending accounts, and then submit completely IRS legitimate and otherwise well documented and covered medical expenses to the agencies that hold and administer our money for reimbursement, only to find it like pulling teeth to get that reimbursement?

I've been (initially) denied reimbursement at times because the expense wasn't an even (penniless) dollar amount. You know sometimes a completely reimbursable expense is also one that isn't sales tax free, resulting in an inexact dollar amount, or is even an inexact but tax free dollar amount to begin with.

I get that these agencies have rules they need to follow; fear of getting audited. But I sometimes get the idea that they are incentivized to deny claims.

And wait, aren't purchases at Quadratec also flex account reimbursable? ;)

I never used flex spending for the only reason; if you didn't use it, you lose it. IMO that was unacceptable. I did sign up for an HSA. Its your money, you never lose it, even if you leave the company.
