I put my top up and doors on yesterday so I could wash my Jeep for the first time. I noticed that there are two flaps of fabric on the foldable part of the top that run down the last 1/4 or so of the length of the rear windows. I'm guessing they're maybe 2" tall and are to cover the gap left where the tube/rod system ends near the rear of the Jeep. Dumb question, but should those be tucked inside of the rear window panel, or pulled out so they're sitting on the outside of the rear window panel?

The picture is from a random video I found online, but it shows the general area of the flap. I can't find anything that specifically addresses this piece.

Inside. Not sure HOW it could ever go on the outside since your window rail is on the outside of the short flap.

Thanks. That makes the most sense to me, but one was in and one was out when I was checking things prior to washing it, yesterday. I was able to tuck it inside or pull it out by reaching my hand in the gap below the retractable part of the top and just moving it. It fit either way, but you could see a small portion of it hanging down if it was to the outside, which didn't look right.

Inside. But I had the same question as you when I first put my windows back in. They seem to fit both ways.

Mine are riding on the outside at the moment. I don’t see a difference really. In or out……the water stays out…. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I also wonder what the correct way is.
