Thanks Terrymo,

I found some plastic rivets to use. It's interesting that when you go on allmoparparts for the XR flares, you need the rivet kit which uses plastic rivets. However, the factory rivets on my XR are metal rivets. Rather keep them all the same. But, I guess its best to keep them plastic so if they brake off, easy to replace.

So on the order sheets at dealers, they can get the aluminum rivets. They are a 5/32. The part number is hidden in the bottom of the page and just says rivets with no picture or description. All other listed rivets are plastic. They part # you are looking for is 06036529aa

Popping the old one out and reusing it is the easiest compared to purchasing new rivets and a riveter.
Never in my 70 years have I ever reused a rivet.
