I'm glad we have a response from the affiliate team, but I'm really surprised that it is taking them so long to update the models on the website. Many of us will need to generate a control number and it seems like the website is the best self-service option for that....... Seems like a waste of resources to have everyone contacting one by one, and it certainly feels less "official" as if the ordering process wasn't opaque enough already with dealers.
Seems par for the course re: the website not being updated. The Jeep.com build and price for 2022s wasn’t updated until a week or so ago and the order banks were open the beginning of October.

Don't most of us pay 2-6% below invoice anyway? Help me understand how this is good.
Who is selling for 2-6% below invoice? I am about to order a 65K MSRP Wrangler. The best price I found was $1,000 below invoice, but it is a 1,200 mile drive each way.

Yeah it doesn't actually surprise me, but from a scalability/cost perspective it just seems really inefficient. If we can't generate our own control number we all have to contact the affiliate program team. Jeep.com being off on model year/details just means you have to get the order guide details and/or visit your dealer (which is probably the outcome they want).

The other side of the coin on affiliate details is that if they don't advertise the discount people may just pay MSRP. ?

This thread is the first I learned of the affiliate program & I’ve purchased 4 new Jeeps over the last 5 years. Now, I didn’t pay MSRP, or close to on any of them, but who knows what additional discount I would’ve received if I had known about this program.

On our current ‘20 Grand Cherokee there were several incentives and a dealer discount already factored into the price of the vehicle. We had our own financing but the finance manager said if we financed through Chrysler Capital we’d receive an additional $1500 off. Their rates were the same as what we had, so we took that additional discount & thanked him for mentioning it.

He didn’t mention the affiliate program however, which I now know my wife’s company is listed. The added discount probably wouldn’t have been that much, but would’ve been nice to know.

What am I missing? I've never needed to know the model I was purchasing to get a control number. Or maybe I am misremembering.

Thanks for sharing; it's an interesting data point. I have always worked for companies which have affiliate pricing for automotive available, but I rarely used it because as you mentioned many other incentives and factors were in play. However, if the supply stays constrained for a long time and/or the industry shifts towards more build to order and fewer discounts that changes things quite a bit.

This is my first Jeep/Wrangler so it's also a new concept to have very high residual pricing on a vehicle even after several years.

After your post I double checked the Affiliate website and actually you are right.... You can generate a control number at any time so I guess self-service does work.

The details about what it applies to and how long it is valid just wasn't very clear. The FAQ says that the control number is valid for the entire year so that is good, but if the Wrangler isn't a valid vehicle then I didn't want to generate and "waste" a control number for my current order (still pending a build slot in Toledo).

FYI - I was in touch with my dealer today to schedule delivery of my new 2022 Sahara (VIN 101291, ordered Oct 11) and he mentioned that the Affiliate Program is alive again.

First post, but have been learning a lot over the last few months about my first Jeep. Hope this is timely info for someone in a similar situation.
Where do we find the "company Code for registering on the web site?

There are many. Gupton in TN is one of the big dealers on this forum. Currently at 5% below invoice. They must be closer to you than 1200 miles. I am sure somebody will chime in with Daniel's email address or you can search the forum for it

That would be great, my dealer told me Dec. 3rd that Wranglers were excluded. Hopefully the website will be updated soon.

I have a JLUR on order from Chapman. I inquired about the affiliate program discount and this was the reply, " using an affiliates # and selling below the ffp pricing is against the stellantis’s gold book rules…our % under invoice is less than ffp, so the 1% we won’t get back and is not valid… we’re unable to combine our pricing with affiliates "

Gupton is the one I hear about most. I found their customer service to be very poor though. I ordered from a local dealer and I’m 2.5% below invoice and a good value for my trade.

Thayer CDJR Bowling Green Oh
Got 2.3%, below invoice out the door, Trade on lease was $2000 above (which is great), and getting a 2022 for almost $2000 less than 2021
Salesman was Tyler Herrig, he calls every week to give me updates
