Has anyone tried the Falcon3.5 E-adjust SP2 piggyback shocks? I like the idea of being able to adjust the them in the cab on the fly. They also have auto mode that senses forces and makes adjustments. May be selling my Fox 2.5 DSC shocks...
I have a JLURD. I am running falcon 3.5 A-adapt shock, and a Nexus 2.2 Steering Stabilizer. I have a Teraflex RT3 Syspension system, a Teraflex Forged Drag Link Kit, a Teraflex Sport Bracket HD Reinforcement Kit for castor correction, and Chromoly Tie Rod Kit,
Synergy Sector Shaft Brace. I am running it on a 37/12.50/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT. I would say that the IR bushings in the Teraflex suspension kit are stiffer. The compound on the Mickey Thompsons is stiffer and clearly if you’re running one of the largest shaft shocks ever made it is a 3.5 Falcon A-adapt, or E-adapt. This could be a stiffer ride. Both the shocks and the Nexus 2.2 Steering Stabilizer are amazing. The 2.2 adjusts on both ends of the reservoir, and both the 2.2 and 3.5 are regressive. Thus meaning that it starts stiff and then softens out. You can turn the knob anywhere from 1 to 8 on each of the shocks, just like on the Falcon 3.3’s in the medium setting. And adjusting the knob to where you want it, it’s just saying how stiff it could be. When I turn my steering stabilizer to stiff, and I have it turned up all the way in the shocks, and handles more like the stiffness of a sports car. I was able to get over 60 miles an hour going through a wash. I feel as if I could’ve went faster easily. This shaft will not bend, and handles all of the bumps amazing. When I have everything turned down on soft it is spongy and crawls great. And so if you don’t want it, so stiff, just turn down the stiffness of the shock on the adjustment dial. And then the cool part sets in. You could put it on auto which always starts out in soft and then stiffens to firm, if need be. Firm always stays firm, which is how you would want to have it if you were doing some Baja style bombing, or you could put it on soft all on the switch located on the A-pillar Al with the flip of a switch. Now, sure, you could run box coil overs, that are tuned to your vehicles specifics. Sweet! However, you cannot adjust like you can with the Falcon 3.5’s. No coil over, or standard valving shock will automatically adjust by the amount of G forces like a auto adjusting shock. They are very sick, and worth the money. Also, you have peace of mind, knowing that you have new technology, and some of the biggest best shocks ever made. There is so much droop it is amazing. I am about 5’10”, and this is not even close to full stuff, and I have flexed it more, but I don’t have a picture.
