Could you tell where the low pass on the sub was set?
No. Only way t really figure that out would be to turn off all the other speakers. I was just wondering if I could notice anything missing in the Alpine components that I have now because the supposed crossover point should be below what the tweeter can handle and there really is nothing coming out of the 4" driver in the soundbar. This issue is what prompted me to start this post.

But it still doesn't explain why FCA sends almost no signal to the 4" driver. Also I already have a set of JLJT pods that I cut out for a 2" tweeter so it will easily fit. As stated before, with the Alpines and the JLs there really aren't any holes in the sound when I ran the test tone, seems the sub is covering the lower mid bass.

I'd assume the sound bar is just using the same speakers as the dash, and the imaging on the dash is why it's setup the way it is. Since we can locate the location of the sound in mids and highs, they didn't want a ton of the mid coming at our ankles bringing down the sound stage. With those frequencies in the dash it sounds like the sound is coming from in front of us. It's hard to tell where bass is coming from, so sub and mid-bass location didn't matter to them as much.

The stock 3.5 may do better on the mid bass channel than that TB, it's within 3 db down to 120 hz vs the TB at 160 hz.

Yes, the stock driver will outperform the 2" driver for sure, but try to fit that driver in the SSV pod with a 6.5" already in there. 2" is about the max you will fit in that tweeter spot on the SSV. Like I said, it's about as good as you are going to get with the SSV pod

also I would say the sub is filling in that missing 120-160Hz

I really wish there was space for the factory 3.5" mid. It even already has a nice little grille for it. But I tried and there is no way to fit that on the SSV. I guess with some cutting of the bar, and fabbing of a new pod you could pull it off, but I gave up and put the 2" in there and called it quits.

Yeah, would have helped if I had follow the link to your thread you guys had referenced. Was concentrating on freq response.

Not sure if you guys have already seen this, but if you geek out on this stuff like I do, you may enjoy a presentation Alpine did when the system was originally put into the JK.

Or the JLJT pods. I am going your way because it's cheaper than a new set. I am taking your word for it.
