Exposed Racks: What Straps Should I Be Using?

I have an exposed rack for a 2-door soft top.

I'm using it to secure a surfboard. I used some basic ratchet straps but its quite noisy when driving and doesn't feel totally secure. I took a look at their site and didn't see any straps that are available for sale.

If I'm trying to secure an 8ft surfboard, what straps should I be using? Photos below.

Be careful with ratcheting straps and surfboards/SUP because they can crack the board. Most straps whistle because they are flat and start to flap or the airflow causes a natural whistle. I twist my straps so they are more round and then use zip ties to make a fold if they are not twisted enough. I love the FCS D-ring strap (it has to be the D-ring version). They never loosen and are perfect for boards.
