My ESS hasn’t works since last fall. So I finally decided with how hard it is to get the aux battery I would go ahead and change them out on my 2019. Have both batteries sitting in the garage since end of last week because this Friday was going to be the best day for me to swap them out. Out of nowhere the ESS starting working this evening. What the heck is up with this ESS system? I’m still changing out the batteries but it just seems crazy and made me laugh.

Mine was essentially the same way. My 2019 JLUR would work randomly whether I turned it on or off and already had brand new batteries. Unfortunately after a month or so of that I started getting a ESS service light randomly then that followed shortly by check engine light which ultimately lead to a complete engine change under warranty.?

Ha! I’m glad they got your Jeep all fixed. I’m hoping that’s not what happens with mine.
