Several months back, I switched from the hardtop to a Bestop soft top, but I was really hoping to have a way to go altogether topless. Finally found a way that will (hopefully) be practical long-term. Installed a JTopsUSA sunshade (fits great, provides good shade, and cuts down on the wind from above), and- for parking on days when it may rain (which isn't all that often in Dallas)- the Mopar cab cover.

Takes about 4-5 minutes to throw the cover on, and it stores under the GPCA tonneau cover. So far, so good- and I enjoy driving the Jeep in its "natural" state!

Did you come across any sunshades that can be left fully on with the softtop?

I know the hardtop can be installed with the JTopsUSA shade in place. It would not be possible to install the Bestop NX over the shade (because it covers the bolt holes the Bestop uses to connect to the sport bar). I'm not sure if you could use the Mopar soft top over this shade (as long as it doesn't have any bolts connecting to the top of the sport bar, it should be compatible).
