I'd totally paint a giant circle game in there just to trigger people. Now you all have me wondering if I need this in my life...

When I’m driving my Jeep I can’t even see whether or not there’s an engine cover 🤷
Wait, people don't cut holes in their hood to see their bada$$ engine covers?
It definitely is a long-term goal of mine to do one of those modifications where you either cut open the hood and put a plexiglass panel in there so you can see into the engine bay, or have a custom-made plexiglass hood so that I can run with a clear hood, I mean how cool and original would that be on a Jeep of all things!?!?

@Tredsdert might feel personally attacked for that post.
Hush! Don't give @Tredsdert any ideas about driving without a hood!
I definitely drove without a hood for a couple days there when I was doing something other earlier this past spring. I specifically remember it because I created a cover for my intake so that if it rained while I was at work, I wouldn't come back to an intake full of water. I think technically they have drain holes in there, but I don't trust that anymore than I trust anything else that the factory did to my Jeep, which is to say my Jeep's very heavy and I don't think I can throw it very far!

It was kind of cool though, driving without a hood... Actually now that I think about it I think that was when I painted my hood black, it had to dry and I wanted to give it a good 72 hours dry time to fully harden, the truck bed liner I put on there.

Just take out the electronics they just had to show off under it. :like:
impressive ….. isn’t it ? 🙄
That's exactly what I'm talking about... except... you know... mine would look significantly more half-assed than that beautiful hood you have there!

It might be half-assed , but at least an engine would be seen, not a computer !
Acceptable for showing off the Ferrari V12

Yeah I've thought about that too, if I get to that point, I'm definitely have to clean up my engine and give it some shiny pipes and such. Maybe replace some of those plastic tubes with something more colorful. Give people a reason to look into my engine bay, instead of the dirty mess that it is right now.

What is that hood that you had in your initial post with the see-through?

I gained 3 thousandths of ground clearance after removing the cover.
Funny you say that, I changed my wife's Subaru forester's oil over the weekend, accidentally forgot to put the engine cover back on, with the added clearance we got from that, I'm pondering running the Rubicon trail next month!

Only if you do it right-
Freedom Racing Engines — Garret G45 1125 turbo and a Magnusson TVS 1900 supercharger (I like that) definitely worthy of being shown off !
