DV8 Rear Bumper JL

Does this look correct on a JL? Had one on my prior JK and it wrapped around completely to the fender, for a more finished look. I'm sure this is right, but the gap?? Wonder why these would be cut short and not complete their way to the fender so they look more fitted? Anyone have any ideas, or have this bumper and done something to make it looks like it belongs on there? I realize aftermarket is not factory but my JK with a similar DV8 bumper looked way better. Am I just turning into a diva???

I think it looks great. I’m looking for a rear bumper too. love DV8 stuff. But i was thinking of going with Red Rocks or something from Quadratec. Anything is an upgrade over the plastic one that came with it.
