Duck or don't duck. I'm a kid at heart and play the game. My grandkids learn from me to enjoy the little things. I can promise my ego is unscathed by anyone's opinions about the 3 ducks on my dash.

If the game had been started by the OP with army men, awesome!

The last thing I do is catalogue the upgrades I see on Jeeps in order to rank them as worthy of my approval. Do people really do that?

That's some dedication to have all of this figured out. I'm just glad to get in my Jeep and enjoy driving mine and never gave one thought about where I rank.
I guess I need to see that rulebook you've written on all of this stuff so I can laugh about all the stuff I'm doing wrong.
Based on your profile picture, looks like you got front bumper, rear bumper, winch, mesh top, grab handles... That's at least a 4/10. Way better than a stock Wrangler that's for sure.

Upgrade those OEM wheels, and grab some curtain rods from home Depot, and you'll be at least a six! If you tear out your carpets and your rear seats, maybe drill a couple holes you could be a seven like me.

Lifts are worth 2 point... Do you have a lift?

On a slightly related note...

Is it just me or does everyone on this forum have grandkids? Am I the only one on here under 40?

Ha, for some reason I had you pegged for being in your 40's. well <40 here âś‹?

Also, love hearing the stories & seeing the photos of Jeeps/kids. That is what owning a vehicle like a Jeep is all about - sharing the passion & vehicles. Most of those are memories that they'll never forget. My grandfather had taken me for rides on his Honda Goldwing and on his John Deere lawn tractor while cutting grass, when I was fairly young. That probably would never fly in today's world ? but I remember it like it was yesterday.

Some get so butt hurt on here about the dumbest minute things... stock vs having ugly "off-road" accessories, whether your Jeep stays on the pavement or rock crawls, ducking, etc. Some of these fan bois would bite their tongues...because they should know the actually history of Jeep, if they're so in love with the brand. That does not involve a weekend warrior blazing a trail for recreation; in a way everyone is a "poser" of some sort.

So I'm 36 or 37, I lost count already. I got six grandkids. It's always fun trying to explain that one to people. :CWL:

I like the idea of the little army dudes. I served and my jeep pays homage to the Jeep brand and the Army.

However, have to remember what the real meaning of the duck is which I found a lot of people don't actually know.

When someone ducks your jeep, there not say hey nice jeep. There saying "hey nice FUC$lNG jeep" knowing this my ducks are ok.

This is why you probably see some stock jeeps with ducks, because people don't really know why there doing it.

Some have taking it from " hey nice FUC!ING jeep" to a cutie cutie thing and they might need to be slapped around a bit.

I've always wondered myself though, WHY DUCKS??

I'm convinced that the owners of stock wranglers with 15 ducks on their dashboard must have bought them and put them there themselves. Because I've still never gotten a single duck and I'm not bitter about it at all, as you can see.
I've come to that conclusion too. How does a garden variety Jeep get an overload of ducks? I've also come to the conclusion that we only have 2 ducks because we're hardly ever out of the Jeep. They're a Bikini Pearl and a Reign- both modified.... so ? imho.

My understanding is that when people would text other people and tell them hey nice FUC!ING jeep. Auto correct on your phone would change Fuc?ing to ducking. Someone decided giving a small rubber duck would be a better way to say nice FUC?ING jeep. This starting the ducking thing.

So when you give or receive a duck it's saying hey nice FUC?ING jeep.

Interesting, and here I always thought it was because ducks float and Jeeps are pretty capable through water crossings.

Your reasoning definitely makes more sense! ?
