This is likely a dumb question. But if I have 38” tire and wheel combo that weighs 110lbs and 37” tire and wheel combo that weighs 110lbs is the stress on the axle the same in terms of possible damage? Or is mostly the extra leverage created by the larger tire?

thank you for any help!

if the weight is the same a larger circumference tire/wheel combo will add more stress due to leverage...

Although the 38” will add an additional stress, they are both adding a lot of stress. That incremental addition from the 38” may not be much and I would think you are at similar risk of breakage/damage from either set up.

With either set-up I would think you need other mods to mitigate the additional stress to your rig.
