Dual Top increase trade value?

When doing a trade-in the dealer normally looks up the vehicle by VIN to see what trim was originally included etc. Would they incorporate dual tops as part of the trade or would having hard/soft top increase the trade value?

I'm asking as I recently got my Jeep appraised but I didn't mention anything about the soft top. I'll end up calling to confirm but I'm putting myself into a spot now. If I ask "Did my appraisal include the soft top?" all they have to do is say yes. lol

I could probably get decent money for my soft top as it was only used for 2 summer seasons.

I'm also wondering about my after-market JW Speaker headlights and fogs, if it was worth it to keep them on the Jeep.

I think this really is dependent on your dealer not others. A dealer I spoke with said on trade in they do not want both tops. They said they tell people to pick one and put it on the Jeep and keep the other.

Honestly if he didn't see the soft top he wouldn't even know you had it.

Late reply but it shows the package that was included when you look up the VIN. It will show "Dual Top Group".

i bought my 2011 jkur used and I bought it with only a hard top but upon looking up the VIN it had both.
I don't think all dealers will make you trade-in both

Sell the top. I got $1,000 Cdn for mine a few months ago and the dealers weren’t offering me any premium value for a trade-in with it.

I had two dealers ask if I had dual top when they were appraising former Jeeps for trade in.
