Trade Values Crashing?

Mine is still in the range of what the dealer allowed me back in June. That is blue book average where mine is like new and only 19K miles. The Vroom and several other online auto buyers/sellers have dropped. That's where you can take a closer look at what is going on with them. Some are the very same company, with exactly the same website other than the name. Even the allowance came in identical. Another, apparently independent seller, came closer to what I had originally been offered, but not quite. These are wholesale allowances. I found several for sale, but not as well equipped and not low mileage, for 10K more than their offers. So they are playing games.

...they haven't seen my '19 Rubi yet. Is it fair to assume they're going to offer around KBB for the trade? I'd hate to get down there and get lowballed.

Through the years, I've received lowball offers on every vehicle I've proposed for trade-in, no matter the brand of dealer nor their location. It's just the way of things, I'd wager, despite my vehicles being well-maintained and garage-kept for the sum of my ownership.

Said offers then inform my decision on whether to proceed with the trade-in, for the sake of convenience, or list the vehicle myself for private sale (and deal with the issues that accompany doing it that way.)

I was given an initial trade value for the truck that I was trading on my new Jeep. The dealer rep said that he'd reevaluate the truck on the day I took delivery of the Jeep, to ensure that the change in mileage wasn't excessive, nor was there any observable difference in its mechanical or aesthetic condition. He did, there wasn't, and things proceeded smoothly.
