DRL Wire Guage?

Simple questing and I've been searching online all morning. I'm tapping into my Daytime Running Lights (DRL) with a vampire clip (splice wire terminal) and want to make sure I use the right size. I cannot seem to find the daytime running light guage. Another question... Anyone know the amperage of the current for these lights?

The assemblies I just removed for a Quake fender chop are led and look like approx 20 gauge wire.
