Thanks I’m gonna order some and try it out, the Scangauge comes with Velcro adhesives to use but I don’t know with the Sun heat from windshield etc how they would do after a year or so, trying taking them off after idk 🤷‍♂️ I worry too much about later on issues lol 😂
Just check your local craft store (Michaels or Joanns)

I got them on Amazon. Search for sticky dots.

It’s the one directly from the ScaGauge site, from the manufacturer.

https://www.scangauge.com/shop/deluxe-window-mount/

Its worked great — hope that helps.
Thank you!
I ordered the dot sticky to try for now but if that fails this will be my next option 👍

*** Also on another note any suggestions on what to monitor, besides the basics???
As of now I got the on/off regen, turbo temp, soot level and exhaust temp going in. I did code a few more option but only really watching these 4 is this appropriate set up or should I be watching other # thanks

My favorites are:

RGN
STM
TRB
DPF

I also toggle to TNR every few days. BST is interesting too but I believe the display for that caps of at 24.

Is there some benefit or knowledge with knowing when it is regen?

If you drive short distances and happen to end up having multiple incomplete regeneration cycles it could cause issues. Other than that possibility, there is no reason IMO to worry about what the system is doing.

Ok thanks, just making sure. All the little tools add up to lots of $! :)

Not to mention wires and wire ties all over!

I do lots of short trips but also 30 to 40 mile trip couple times a week.

Go figure, I have the same one and it's terrible. Maybe you got stronger magnets....if that's a thing?
This thing has been great. It took me a minute to get it stuck right, but it hasn’t so much as wiggled since then. Sorry yours is a jerk!

My trips are mixed. Usually either 400+ miles or a mile at a time. If I’m getting close to 80, I’ll just time it so I have enough time to let it finish before I get where I’m going.

It doesn’t worry me, I just like knowing what’s going on.

Tired Again
I use an iDash by Banks. It can clear codes (haven't used this feature yet), but I find it super helpful for monitoring temps and when a regen will happen and is happening. I am monitoring 8 items on a small 2in gauge up in the corner of my windshield. Easy to see and never in my way. I did a write up on the gauge pod install.

Items monitoring from top left to top right and down. Trans Temp, Oil Temp, Engine Load %, Coolant Temp, Batt V, DEF Tank Level, Regen Status, DPF Soot Level
Hey @brewski and all. Digging the iDash here also. The "pages" feature is a huge bonus and easy to access once they are set up, 5 pages with 8 parameters each is almost too much. Check this link for available options --> PIDs and BIDs link. I found the list useful when planning the layout of each page before programming the iDash.
