As long as I've had this Jeep (2020 JLURD) it has intermittently smelled like exhaust in the cab and has occasionally smoked from under the vehicle. I had a timing chain cover leak that was fixed and thought maybe it was the oil burning on something. Well, the smell persisted and I climbed underneath to put the ol eyeballs on it. The first sensor on the exhaust was coated in soot and not even screwed in. So maybe this will fix my issue! I've never had an alert or an issue with the DPF system so hopefully, everything is kosher. Attached is the part and pics of where I found it.

Good find, surprised your dealer did not find that but then again……
Surprised it never threw a code.

Me too. The only symptom was the exhaust smell in the cab. So far it seems to have fixed it.

I am glad you found the issue, hopefully it fixes your symptoms ?

Now to the technical question.. sorry cant help it :P Did your Jeep use DEF at all??
How was your MPG and power?? Any noticeable difference after you connected it?

It did use DPF. Im not sure if it was normal or not, only time will tell. MPGs seem fine and power is great. Everytime I change something the wind is always nuts and I think something is wrong. Seems a little quiter maybe?
