So, I bought some Aries Rock Slide / Step combos for my Rubicon. Everything was going great until I got started on the wiring. I need to remove the trim around the doors for the power and sensors, but cannot for the life of me get the trim off. Normally this is a pretty easy thing, but I can't figure out how to get it removed without tearing it up.
Has anyone run into this before and have any tips?

To get it fully off you have to disconnect the door wiring, unslot the frame side connector from the trim (it slides down after releasing a little clip), and remove a 10MM hex bolt that sits under that cover; then pry from the front of the footwell and work your way back. Fully removing the bottom half of the B-pillar trim requires detaching the seatbelt, but you can pop it out far enough to run wiring without going through that. I don't believe there's anything extra holding the backseat trim in, but don't quote me on that, I just ditched my 4dr... and the 4Xe could have different trim back there.

If you haven't taken the trim panels off before, it's gonna sound like you're breaking it... but I've never actually broken anything, and I've taken them off a few times. The loose fit makes them easier to remove than most cars.

Nice description, that hidden bolt would be tough to figure out.

The Mopar Aux switch install includes pulling the kick panel off. There was a youtube video (either QT or XT) that walked through the process.
