Anyone know if the doors are painted after the hinges are installed??
My wife has a firecracker red and mine is black, we were thinking of swapping the hinges but if they are painted after the hinges are installed it'll break the paint and need to be repainted. I can't tell from looking due to the hinge attachment bolts being recessed, and don't want to chance screwing up either paint job. Any help is appreciated.

Don't know about the hinges, but Amazon has plastic hinge covers that install easy and stay on well. They come in several colors. I installed a chrome set to keep the rock chips away. They work well

I wouldn’t have guessed this.
The Jeep JK's were the same. There were paint bubbling issues with the hinges on previous years and when folks removed their hinges to Rhino Line them or repaint, there was bare metal under them which was causing the different types of metal touching each other to corrode.

Here is a production video to watch and see how the JL's are made. Definitely a pretty cool video to see how they are made/assembled.

Definitely wasn’t questioning you, just seems like an odd approach.

I need to remove the body side lower hinge on my driver's side rear due to a rockchip. I want to get it re-sprayed properly. Are there any tricks or concerns to keep in mind that others have noticed when removing the hinge? Looks like it should be pretty straight forward...
