Does the wrangler JL come with a dual clutch auto?

I have seen this stated in a few places on forum? Is this true? if so how does it work?

No, it's not a duel clutch transmission, it comes with an 8 speed torque converter transmission built by Chrysler (FCA) but largely designed by ZF in Europe. The transmission is somewhat similar to the one widely used by BMW (and others) in their SUV's and cars. The ZF version is regarded as a very capable, smooth and reliable transmission.

Dual clutch transmissions are typically not used in SUVs that offer any type of towing. I.e., Cayenne uses Tiptronic still and not PDK. Also, the Jeep isn't exactly fast, so I don't think you would get much benefit from a dual clutch in a Wrangler. The new 8 speed is pretty nice tho.
