Does the Besttop sunrider Soft top block UV rays.

Just curious if the Sunrider actually block UV rays. Reason I am asking is that I can feel the heat coming through the Sunrider top and my metal stick shift and retracting screen from Besttop is extremely hot to the touch! And that's with a sunshade covering the entire windshield. Is it the heat being transferred or UV rays heating up those metal parts through the top?

Twil does offer some UV protection from being a tightly woven fabric, but I couldn't tell you how much. I'm pretty sure it's just the sun rider absorbing the heat though. I can feel the heat coming off of mine too.

I put a sun shade between the sunrider and have significantly less heat in the truck. My actual hard top has the Mopar head liner and there is almost no heat being transferred.
