I am reading misleading info online. Any 2026 owners successfully using the Tazer?

Are you thinking that Tazer says it works for a ‘26 but it really doesn’t? Did you talk directly to Tazer tech support?

I am wondering the same. I bought a JL Mini because it said it worked for 2026 “all models” (I have a 2026 Wrangler Moab 392). I got it in but for the life of me I cannot figure out where to plug it in at! I’ve had Tazers before on other jeeps, but the 2026, at least the 392 Moab, is different. The SGW is not where it is on previous wranglers, or at least it doesn’t look the same. I’ve tried for help through their text line and through their email support. All I have gotten so far is an email saying basically they are busy and be patient, that they will get with me eventually.
does anyone have any idea where the Tazer should plug in on a 2026 Moab?

Installed my Tazer mini this weekend. Works exactly as described. 26 Moab
Where did you plug it in? I received my Tazer Mini for my 2026 Moab this week but for the life of me I can’t find where to plug it in at. The Moab doesn’t look anything like the 2024 JL I used to have a Tazer on. So where do you plug it or the extension cable in at?

I have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler which was the first year of the "Refit"/ Upgrade of the Wrangler/Gladiator Series. And yes, my Tazer Mini works just fine with the 2024+ Wranglers. Got rid of the heinous Auto Stop Start, Adjusted for my new 35 inch tires and wheels and a few other tweaks like the Beep when you have the seat Belt off and the TPMS Sensors warning when you air down, etc. So, Yes, it does work on the 2024+ Jeep Wranglers with Uconnect 5.

2026 is different than 2024 though. I had a 2024 and it was just as instructions said as far as hookup, with the SGW up behind the ODB2 port. While Tazer says it works with the 2026, hooking up at least is different on the Moab 392 at least. What’s behind the ODB2 port is COMPLETELY different and I cannot find the SGW anywhere. I can’t figure out where to connect anywhere!

I have the very first iteration of the Tazer JL from 2018. I have used it on Jeeps and Rams, changing the firmware as needed, and I'm currently using it on my late 2025 build JLUR. Works like a charm.

Finding the SWG connections were a little more difficult on the new '25 but they are there, just gotta' use a flashlight.

I found the SGW!! On the 2026 it’s pretty hidden, but I found it, finally. It’s up on top of the silver box that’s directly behind the OBD2 port. You can’t see it from below and even if you pull of the bottom dash cover under the steering wheel you can’t see the box, but you can see the two plugs you need to remove. The plugs are actually easier to reach, but the angle their at, plus the bottom dash brace being in the way, make them at least as difficult to reach as on previous models, so you’re still gonna want the extension cable so you won’t have to reach it more than once.
Anyway, finally got it!!!

Just to close the loop. I got the Tazer to work on my 2026 Moab 392.

I also installed nolimitz to turn off MDS and turn on sport mode.

Now I love the way the V8 drives and sounds.

I got it working on my 2026 Moab too. However I discovered a problem, or at least I had a problem. I was testing out the lockers in 4wd high(or part time as the Moab calls it) and 4 low. They engaged fine. But then, when I was done with that and turned the lockers off and tried to go back to the full time 4wd setting, it would not do it. The light would blink and then go out, leaving no lights on to indicate what the transfer case was set to. No matter what I tried it would not go back and engage full time 4wd. I drove it, forward and reverse. I even drove it pedal to the floor and it shifted terrible, like it misfired at each shift! No matter what I could not get it to go back to the full time position. Finally, out of desperation, I. Unmarried and removed the Tazer, which sucks because I had it all set up the way I wanted it. But once I unmarried and removed it it works fine! So it’s definitely the Tazer Mini that was causing the problem.
Have you tried going into 4low and back to the normal driving position, Full time 4wd?
