I am almost at 8 months since I ordered my jeep.
my order is;
Rubicon 3.6L unlimited
Cold weather group
steel bumpers
LED group
Tow Package
Dual top
Steel bumpers
Safety group

My question is does FCA have preferred dealers that get their vehicles before other dealers?
It seems odd to me that others have gotten their jeeps before me.
Is it my order?
Could it be that the dealer sold my vehicle to another higher paying customer?
I only have a von and not a vin.
The dealer just told me yesterday that they do not know what is going on and that FCA has not processed the order yet. What does that mean?

I am going to call FCA Canada tomorrow and see what is going on.

It seems to me, not preferred dealers, its preferred customers (Americans who order $60K Wranglers). All others seem to put on second class status. It makes no sense even if it does bump up the profit-per-vehicle side of the accounting. What about the good will, long term customer base, things like that?

I got my $65K msrp Wrangler built in 28 days, another 2 weeks to get it to the dealer. Canadian wait times are insane.

Retired and loving it.
I've wondered the same thing. I know a couple of guys who ordered a Wrangler from a different dealer a day or two after I ordered mine who have already gotten both their VON & VIN while my dealer says mine are not available.

I ordered on September 13th.

Yes, they do have preferred dealers, which do receive higher vehicle allocations and priority for custom orders. I did a lot of research before ordering my 4xe Sahara in late July and got it in 4 weeks from the preferred dealer in Louisville, KY.

i bet its the steel bumpers. Did you check out dealers around southern ontario for what you want. bumpers and a 2nd top can be bought afterwards.

UPDATE.
Called FCA.
They said we are sorry.
Can not give any update.
Call the dealer.
What a crock of horse sh**.
Asked who else I could call.
They said no one.
FCA is a shitty company when it comes to customer service.
What can I do to find out what exactly is going on?
I am banging my head against the wall.

Walk into the dealer and escalate, firm voice, cancel order and wait a few days and order a 2022.

You are kidding, right?
There is no line item in the asset portion of a financial statement that puts a value on good will, or long term customer base. If there even were a place in a financial statement for them they would be on the expense side.
"I promise my next car will be a Jeep too. How about 10 % off?" That's an expense.
"I've been buying Jeeps for 20 years. How about 10% off?" That's an expense too.
In a market where they can sell as many as they build, and they sell at MSRP or more, expecting them to cater to the customer is a fantasy.
Granted, some day the worm may turn and Jeep becomes heavily reliant on its long term customer base, but that worm isn't turning today. It's just business. Profits and losses.
As to preferred dealers, yes, there absolutely are preferred dealers. It's all based on sales volume, and gross profits. The Jeep dealer in North Battleford, SK isn't likely to get near the build slot allocation that a Jeep dealer in southern Ontario is going to get. Again, it's just business.
Admittedly it would be nice if manufacturers would take into account the value of their customers, but the truth is they don't. They answer to shareholders, not customers. If the shareholders wanted the Wrangler gone, it would be gone, regardless of the fact that they can't build enough of them, or that they sell at MSRP or more.

The Dealer is Sevenview Chrysler in Vaughan.
How can it be that after 8 months I have no vin on a Rubicon fully loaded?
Only options I do not have is leather and proximity locks.
I do not believe that FCA has not filled any of their orders since January as the salesman stated.

Salesman is full of it.
Lots of buyers across Canada have ordered and received their Jeeps in 2021.
Something's pretty fishy there.

Cancel the order. No price is worth that hassle.
Give Mitch cadesky a call at serpa in Scarborough. Tell him you story. That's who I'm dealing with and he's been pretty good so far. And I have my Vin after a month.
