Does FAD disconnect when ignition is turned off?

If in 4WD, does the FAD disconnect when the ignition is killed? Want to clean the massive salt deposits off the underbody where my steep driveway is half ice. After 3 weeks we are finally getting some temps above freezing.

It does not. The FAD is computer controlled and will only disconnect or reconnect while the ignition is on (or at least in accessory mode).

It does not. The FAD is computer controlled and will only disconnect or reconnect while the ignition is on (or at least in accessory mode).
Thanks, I did verify that, although it does not apply to ACC mode. Vehicles can slide down hills around here with only one axle locked in icy conditions, it's happened to me. I wish my jeep had manual locking hubs, I'm kind of a troglodyte.
