I believe with +10mm, you will still have some poke--look at mine at the bottom of the rear fender, I probably have 1-1/2" of tire out of the fender edge (not counting the XR extension). It is harder to see on the front fenders because they taper, but the rear fenders are fairly straight.
So based on an 8.5" wide rim... if +10mm has some poke, what would the offset need to be to keep the rear tire flush with the fender?
+30mm ?

I like the wheels on my JLR, just wish the 17x7.5 oem rims were a little wider.
Does anyone make a wider Rubicon style wheel?
Maybe 1/2" or 1" wider than oem.

As a second question . . . .
What is the widest "recommended" tire that can be mounted on the 17x7.5 oem Rubicon wheel?
The operative word here is "recommended." ;)

Thank you.
I would not hesitate to mount a 12.5" wide tire on those rims, and that width covers the vast majority of tires up to 37" tall.

For a 7.5” Rim width, a 33… Some will mount 35’s, but most reputable tire shops, won’t mount them.
The height of the tire really has nothing to do with it.

Ahh, I’m thinking +10 being nearly flush on non Rubicon axles.

AEV wheels are +25 and they are slightly less than flush on Rubicon axles.

+44mm would be the easiest (about 1/2" less poke than +30mm). I do not think anyone makes +30mm. I have seen +44mm, +18mm, +12mm, +6mm & 0mm

Black Rhino Overland wheels are +30mm, however, they are 17x8.

It definitely does. A taller sidewall means that the angle of difference between tread section width and wheel width is less than a shorter tire with a shorter sidewall.

Stock Rubi wheels with spacers and 37s. Poor man’s bead locks. Accidentally ran them at 5 psi. YMMV!

I thought I was going to see wood screws in your wheels. LOL.

I remember doing that in the 70s, through steel wheels into drag slicks.

Those are Maximus-3 tow loops, but given the $hitty support they have given on the safety/design issues on the front tow loops, I no longer recommend them.
Do you have to notch out the rear bumper on the passenger's side?

I do not recall having to do that--it was plug and play as far as I remember. Are you having issues with yours or?

I just got them. Looking at the drivers side of the bumper, it's already notched for the existing tow hook. I'll let you know how the install goes.
