Well, this is embarrassing - I actually meant to say Fog Lights. No wonder the first reply had me scratching my head. Yet, protection for the turn signals is a valid wish too. But, I have to agree, with nothing solid to anchor to nearby, I can think of no practical way to protect the turns from anything bigger than a twig.
Back to the fog lights. I just came in from putting front brake pads on and noticed there is some metal around the fog lights - on the back side. The bezel surrounding the lights, the first thing to hit a boulder or tree, is plastic. So, even if you're creeping along, bumping into anything solid would result in broken bits of fog light.
If it makes you feel better, the front of my old JL did this to the back of a Mustang, and not a scratch on the fog lights:Well, this is embarrassing - I actually meant to say Fog Lights.
