Does you check up on the vehicles you used to own?
I don't quite remember the complete VIN of my first, and I don't have a CarFax or similar subscription. But, today I was wondering if it's still on the road, and if I had the info/sub, I would be looking!

I traded my sport in last year for the rubicon I have now. I tracked my sport on the dealers site till it sold 6 months later…

i never had until a couple weeks ago i was shooting poop with someone about the JK that I had given up 4 years ago on trade. later that evening I grew a little emotional for it and Googled the VIN to find that it had just been listed for sale on a dealers lot! wow what a coincidence. ok, i thought, do i look or i don't i? i didnt want to find out that it had been used and abused, but part of me wanted to know a little bit about its life after me. so i pawed through all of the dealer shots to find that my first love was virtually unchanged and completely unmutilated. it looked just as good as it did when i left it, but the steelies were swapped for some factory alloys. what a relief! i felt like a proud father. there was my old JK just as i left it, double the milage, but someone had loved it just as much as i did....?

I do, she's sitting on copart after being in a 100 car pile up in November. Took it on both sides in the rear and was pinched against another vehicle. Drove her home afterwards, rear end is sticking out about 2 inches more on one side and had a horrible whining noise with every rotation of the wheel. Insurance gave me a 30k dollar check and called it totaled.

Following my last post.... let me share with you how it happened... We were supposed to get our first snow here in Denver and normally my wife takes my Wrangler to the gym, because the neither of our other cars are snow cars. So I went out like a good husband the night before, filled the gas tank up for her.

Well next thing I know she is calling me at 5:14 am, waking me up, crying hard, and I could hear the sounds of cars crashing in the back ground. She was going across US 6 into Denver and she came upon black ice, nobody could stop their cars, except my wife. My Jeep did amazing, it was able to come to a stop on those BFG MT KM3's perfectly without hitting anyone (I love those tires). But the driver behind her couldn't stop, made contact back left slide which turned my jeep 90 degrees to the right. Then another truck smashed the other side and pushed the Jeep up against the back of another SUV.

My Smittybilt XRC Fenders did what they were supposed to do, they dug into other cars like a hot knife. The damage would have been much worst without them.

I drove her home though, as I stated above, only 5 cars were able to drive out....

Here's the video of the scene that I shot with my drone.

My Jeep is still sitting at COPart ( https://www.copart.com/lot/71513682/2013-jeep-wrangler-rubicon-co-denver-south ) because I guess they're going to try and save it for Spring? They've had it since December 22nd. It also looks like they left the windows down and it snowed inside the Jeep, it wasn't that filthy when they picked it up. The hood was special to me, traded my black for a friends orange, because I wanted a all orange body but when I was buying it, couldn't find anything orange. Otherwise this was my first Jeep, the love of my life. Her final voyage was coming up, a road trip to Patagonia with my best friends. Then sell her down there before flying back.

She's a 2013 2 DR Rubicon with 58k miles on the odometer. I still have the rear seat in my garage, and the painted matched hard top in my shed. I wanted to get my bumper and winch off but didn't have the time to do it and wasn't sure if it would cause issues. I still have the original front bumper.
