because this is Lexington KY police saying they helped a woman change her tire.

eta: and folks on the comments are sayinf they dont. Im curious as to why the 3 hubs were off. And I am not calling the folks liars, curious skepticism based on Louisville Police antics

Are you trying to claim they are lying?

Just ask @cosine he knows!
Not sure why they'd spend money for those covers, but it sure does appear they make silver wheel covers to replicate the Sport S sets.

FWIW the Sport S wheels are butt fugly IMO, why would you want to pay for covers to look like them???

Some people have this ‘acquired taste‘ to ‘chrome up’ their ride.

Nice of them on duty to change a tire. I definitely would have rolled over for a quick welfare check but with all my gear on, I probably wouldn’t have. Off duty, depending on the situation, I would offer assistance.

Might have orders from the top to help build community relations and get good PR given Louisville riots are expanding outside of Louisville.
And they certainly could have been genuinely decent blokes. I like to think Lexington is better given it is closer to the heart of KY

Building community relations is an ongoing effort and the behavior like which you called out helps to earn the public’s trust.

A quick search of the forum led me to find a member selling his take off wheels. Seems like a complete wheel and not just a hubcap.

Only reason I asked was the way you originally wrote that totaly sounded like you were. As far as orders from the top I highly doubt that. Throughout my career I probably changed a dozen tires and helped people get their locked in keys from their cars.

Outside of an emergency situation, I can't imagine the need to call in a flat tire. More than likely, she lucked out with a couple of genuinely good guys that know their chosen profession isn't just about chasing criminals. Those cops did it because they cared and wanted to, not because they needed to be told to. Kudos to them!
