Difference in 8.4 systems ??

I just bought a 8.4 to replace my 7 and was trying to update the software is there a difference between the 2018 8.4 Vs the 2019 my Radio was manufactured May 2019 so I want to make sure I have the latest software but I cannot use my VIN on the connect site since its tied to a 7 inch. I tried a VIN from a 2018 model yr and it says there is an update but I tried a few 2019 VIN's and they all say they don't

Not sure on that one. You may have to have the dealer switch the VIN over or something.
