I am running a Vevor 5kw diesel heater outside the tent running through a 4 inch diameter dryer vent hose. I am getting some off gassing from the hose which gets worse the higher the heat setting. Has anyone found a vent hose that does not off gas?

this is the hose I am currently using. Says it’s coated with PVC which is probably not good.

Yes, PVC or any polymer bad for heated air.

Yes. I missed it in the description initially as labeled as HVAC hose which I have since learned is not designed for high heat applications.
The other issue is all the YouTube videos demonstrating using dryer vent hose which in hindsight should not be used, for two reasons:

1. The PVC or other plastic/vinyl coatings used for the majority of those hoses and
2. The non-smooth bore which restricts air-flow and can cause errors with overheating.

I believe there is all metal 4" duct, perhaps dryer, that expands.

I've been using 8k one for last few weeks and not had that problem. I use the aluminum tubing that came with it an a aluminum dryer tubing. I do notice on startup a slight smell of diesel fumes but ends quickly after startup.

The silver aluminum tubing shown is to double wall for less heat loss.
