So I want to get the Jeep out on dirt to make sure everything is working correctly before I hit Big Bear in 2 weeks.

Anyone around this week and willing to meet me up in Santa Clarita to run Del Sur? I think that's the closest dirt road I could find to me. Would be a short 2 hour run. I don't want to run it alone in case something goes wrong with the Jeep.

Well looks like a friend just said he'd go with me Thursday. Looking at meeting up at 930AM if you are interested in joining us.
Greetings--that's kind of you!
I'm more a blue square than black diamond jeep driver, tho I don't think I'll hold you up on Del Sur. I've not driven it--where is your trailhead? At the south end where Coarsegold leaves Bouquet Canyon?

We start at Coursegold and Bouquet and take the ridge to Quarry road and head back down. I'm not sure how rutted it will be and now with the rain coming tomorrow but it's usually a pretty easy trail with some offshoots to try. My main goal is to just get some 4wd miles onto the t-case so I can drain/check the fluid and re-fill before Big Bear.

We're meeting up at the gas station north of the In N Out off Sand Canyon at 930A. We probably won't head out right away as my buddy is bringing his boroscope so that I can look above the transmission and see if I can find my missing 13mm socket. I imagine that will take me about 5-10 minutes and then we'll head over to the trail.

Sounds good. I know the InNOut (along with many others...). I'll look for your blue jeep at the gas station (ARCO I think).

Sounds good. There's usually more room to park at the Mobil just north of Arco.
