I took my Jeep in to have passive entry installed. They told me over the phone they could do it if I ordered the parts. After the parts I ordered from Mopar arrived, I took it up there and they said they couldn't do it because they didn't know where I got the parts. After showing him the box addressed from Mopar and the parts bags with Mopar part numbers all over it, he says "I won't make any money". After the second dealership pulled the same crap, I called Mopar furious. They then sent me a youtube clip on the install. I ended up doing it all myself and it was easy. Long story short, I have lost all confidence in the Jeep dealerships to perform anything. They could have made a killing on what they were going to charge me.So I recently bought my 3.0L eco diesel. 35 days later it’s in the shop for a bad turbocharger, dealership stated that it was covered under warranty but the part was backordered until mid September.
I contacted jeep costumer support who confirmed it was backordered. But I was also told that if I purchased the part my self it would be reimbursed.
so I get the part myself, but the dealership is now refusing to do the work as they say they will not get paid.
Anyone else have similar experiences?
