Dealer Speedometer Calibration off by 3mph

Is it common for a dealer speedometer calibration to be off by 3mph? I put 35s on my Rubicon and had the dealer calibrate it. It now reads 3mph slower than the actual speed. I checked it with GPS.

It happens.. read one of quite a few forum threads regarding dealerships and their on occasion, iffy, calibrating for tire size.

When you do the calibration yourself using say a Tazer JL or JSCAN (easy to do) you can have at it so to speak dialing things in... and getting it right.

I put 35's on mine, stock calibration. Its off 3 mph also. They did not calibrate your speedometer.
