Anyone know anything about wether there is a way to look up dealer incentives?
This one website is showing weird incentives on last year’s model and I don’t see that anywhere else. I see the military, disability and realtor ones only.

A honest dealer will print it up for you.

When I am going over pricing with a customer I will show all available incentives and print them out. If you are looking at 2019 Wranglers right now their are some weird ones. Normally Wranglers don't really get many incentives but I have a couple select inventory Wranglers that have a $3,000 incentive. I have never seen this before and it does not apply to all 2019s. Best thing to do is just find a good dealership that will be transparent and go over it with you. If you need any direct help you can feel free to reach out to me,

So there is no way a customer can find them without a dealership?
It’s a weird industry, why pricing isn’t fixed is bizarre to me. I assume it’s because it cost more for a dealership in NYC than in Alabama. But Tesla does it.

The incentives provided by any manufacture are dependent on the reason. Just like the dealership pricing these are based on the market. Depends on local trends and what people are buying in one area compared to other things. To a lesser extent almost everything is priced this way from houses to a gallon of milk. The market dictates.

The Midwest has up to $4000 in Bonus cash on certain trim/engine 2019 Wranglers.
You can look up incentives here
https://www.jeep.com/lineup.incentives.html?app=incentives

Things like supplier programs or employee/dealership rewards or coupons for conquest rebates you'll probably need to get from a dealership person since it may be vin specific.

You should show them YOUR incentives like dealer hold back and factory unit price before shipping.

I used Edmunds.com for finding dealer incentives that weren't shown under the dealers incentives, give Edmunds a try

Consumer laws. Both Federal and State. Blame the new car dealer's associations for each State, politicians and lobbyist for the auto industry.

Tesla sells direct. They cut out the middle man and do not have independent franchise owners who own dealerships. They are not members of any Dealer's Associations. The Dealer's Associations host most auto shows. This is why you will not see Tesla at most, if not all, major auto shows like the Chicago Auto Show.

Saturn and Scion tried fix prices. Both abandoned it. Carmax offers fixed list pricing for used vehicles.

Scion's fixed price was really not truly fixed. Scion technically did not allow dealers to discount off the window sticker price. Dealers could loose their franchise by discounting the list price. There were back door loop holes. For example say Scion paid sales people a fixed commission of say $200 or $300 for that month for a dog model. Dealers would sell at the sticker price and over inflate a trade to close a deal. Or they would offer say $200-$300 worth of oil changes, car details, winter mats, cargo covers, etc. Basically truly motivated dealers would figure out a way to sell for less than their competitor's List Price.

Not to say car companies can't offer fixed pricing. Carmax seems to be successful. Tesla is definitely successful.

This is all true. Their are so many ways to make money in this business. It is unavoidable to a point so ultimately just buy from the dealer that treats you like a person, listens to you and finds you the right rig. My motto since my first day on the job was to listen to my clients, find them the vehicle that works best for them and get them a financial package that works for them. Everything else will take care of itself. I may not be the top paid sales person here but I bet I have some the happiest and best clientele. I'm sure their are other dealerships and salesman that look at things the same way. Find them.
