Dash switches

I'm about to order my new JL and I'm getting a little frazzled reading the 1000s of posts while waiting for answers from dealers. One thing I can't seem to find an answer on is this -- I read somewhere that on the Rubicon, there are a couple of extra switches mounted on the dash for after-market auxiliary lights, etc. This makes it quite easy to add your accessories when you get the car. I plan to get a Sahara, loaded. I want the extra switches for fire department lights and radio. I can't find anywhere in the build process that talks about the switches. Are they included on the Sahara? If not, can they be added easily?

I am pretty sure they are part of the towing package.

They are included with the tow package. It includes the hitch, 4 auxiliary switches, and upgraded battery and alternator. This is the case for both the Sahara and Rubi. I believe you can also just get the switches added after you get the jeep, not sure you can order just the switches without the package.

I'm ordering the towing package so I hope you're right. I looked closely at the dash for the Rubi and the Sahara..........can't see any difference. Well, there's a difference but I don't think its switches.

The switches are included with the tow package. They are hiding behind the shifter next to the sway bar disconnect button and below the media cover.

If you build one online without the tow package those switches will disappear.

Many thanks, one more worry off the list. I did include the towing package..........and will make sure it's on the order itself.

You can get them without the tow package through Mopar for less $, but from what I've read you need to have the car programmed for them to work(something about Uconnect integration.) I found out about the programming after I ordered mine without the tow package. Had I known I would be reliant on the dealer to program after I installed them I would have just ordered the tow package.
