No harm no foul, I canā€™t believe you didnā€™t feel the wheels jump and hear a thud sound. I moved from Wisconsin to Colorado and have made many Christmas drives back. The worse for me is snow through Nebraska where it drifts and you feel the rear end slide or you hit a slippery spot under a...

Iā€™ll bite, where were you that traction was slippery enough not to bind the axles and still be able to hit 85mph? If you have the full time t-case then this is much less impressive.

I am not an electrician, nor do I know a lot about wattages, volts, and amps. That said certain EVs that have regenerative capabilities can be towed to charge the battery. I donā€™t think that includes EV jeeps however, that option is more appealing to me than carrying a generator.

Doesnā€™t putting a grill on the ā€œhidden compartmentā€ call attention to it and defeats the purpose or at the very least reduces the effectiveness?

Avoiding fines sounds like a great reason and that was a benefit I was unaware of. Yes, half doors with soft uppers are expensive, but I was really discussing those. The protection argument is true, but I would contend the benefits are marginal. Visibility on trails is a great benefit to tube...

Did you folder your windshield down also? That is something I have never done in any of my Jeeps.

they just sit on the hinge without any hardware. I lift them off and toss them in the back in about 10 seconds each, maybe double that time to put them on due to lining up both pins to the hinge holes. I donā€™t use mirrors and I have checked, it is legal in my state as long as I can see 200...

Pic of my buddy driving my truck, but it gives you an idea of the front doors off with the rear doors on. Not awful.
  17. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

I have lots of opinions on this topic. Take them for what you will. First, opening up the extra breeze is awesome. When driving myself I will even go doorless on the interstate and hit 80mph. Itā€™s windy, but I also ride a motorcycle so I donā€™t mind. Turn the hat backwards and ensure all...

My first thought was colored tissue paper but I would be afraid of stains.
  19. QTDDTOT: Questions that don't deserve their own thread

I think your focus on imitation rain is distracting from the real issue. I think you need to focus more on the location detection. Could you somehow rig up tissue paper around the roof seams and then just spray water on the outside of the Jeep yourself, maybe a light spray in sections, check...
