Hello all,
I was looking through the 2023 ordering guide and noticed all these different axles. I currently own a 2019 JLUR and went in with the knowledge that I have dana 44s front and back. One the order guide there are D44 standard, D44 HD, etc etc. Were there upgrades to the axles at some point? Are these just different axles between the wrangler and the gladiator? Were there different axles being used in the XR packaged jeeps? I clearly have been living under a rock lol. Not that I pushed my jeep to its limits yet but just wanted to know.
As much as I love my Rubicon, I always wonder how I would've built it up had I gotten a Sport or Willys and got take off parts down the road. Also been hearing that the JL generation axles can handle way more than the JK gen and that its not common for people to be running 35s or even 37s on the D35s with light wheeling and not being crazy aggressive wit hit off the pavement.
