Just installed a Curt hitch receiver on my new JL. This receiver is super heavy and took less than 20mns to install. I now have an extender on order as these do not go far enough to get beyond the spare tire. My rack does fit, but it’s super tight against the tire when folded. I’ll update once extender is installed. Great product for anyone needing to carry bikes. I don’t intend to tow and won’t be installing any of the wiring for lights.

The CURT 45797 extension has worked out good for me. Gets the rack pushed out from the spare and also raises or lowers the connection by 2" . I'm on 37's with 3.5" lift so I use it drop down the rack a couple inches. I keep it permanently attached to my 1UP rack with a hitch lock.

If it is just a bit of rub on the tire see if you can drill a new hole for the pin. Will lose an inch inside the hitch mount, but will clear the tire better. I did this with a HF rack that was just a little short. I drilled the bolt holes inside to the rack instead of the hitch pin hole

Already have the extension on the way. I’ll post pics once installed. I like “easy” if possible 😉

I installed the first extension which might have worked, but the inner portion was too short and my bike rack tube bottomed out before it could be fully inserted (see pic). So, I returned that one and got a different version which has an open end allowing the rack tube to slide right through. This version also has the added bonus of having @ 2" drop which allows for tailgate to swing fully open (my rack has a tilt function). I used 2 locking pins and an anti wobble plate making the entire assembly rock solid (my rack has it's own built in anti wobble system). Here's the link to extender... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092LHHG2V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 . I'm happy with this setup especially since I'll leave it installed 90% of the time.
