I have a 23 JLUR with the 3.6 and eTorque. I replaced the battery last year. I had a parasitic power draw that I have since fixed.
Any way I got a can of Plaster battery terminal cleaner and protector and cleaned up the area.
Per the computer the voltage is very steady at 13.8-13.9 while driving around.
is there anything else I should look at for a cause? Generically I read it could be a symptom of a bad starter, or overcharging of the battery
Thanks much for your insight

Usually a sign of a bad battery that is leaking acid fumes.

Clean terminals and spray with a terminal protectant like from CRC. Or similar.

I have been using the felt protectors that wrap the terminals. Seems to be working on my old Toyotas.

13.8-13.9 while driving sounds pretty normal to me, especially with the eTorque system constantly managing charging. If the parasitic draw is fixed and the battery connections are clean/tight, I probably wouldn’t worry too much yet.
I’d just keep an eye on it for a while and maybe check grounds and the aux battery if you still have it.

Good to know, I was thinking the same thing, though I may clean the terminals really good, and install the little felt feet. No aux battery (thankfully!) as it is an eTorque system

cheap batteries leak. get a good brand battery and it will not leak. i have an red top that is 8 years old and still zero leaking and it still works without issue. so far three years on my full river batteries without issue aswell

The root cause of the terminal corrosion is likely heat, overcharging and/or case failure, which should be monitored/addressed. 13.9 Volts is a typical alternator voltage, but could be quite high at peak battery temperature.

Corrosion on AGM battery terminals means some electrolyte escaped the battery case. AGM batteries are already electrolyte starved, so lost electrolyte is quite bad for battery health. Depending on how much was vented, the battery may require replacement (or may sooner than later).

I was wondering about that, Looks like I may have to visit my local Interstate battery dealer again. They were fantastic when I replaced the batter in my Ram 1500, but it was a much rougher experience when i replaced this one
