I'm not positive, but from what I have been reading I believe the 35x12.5x17 can still be put on the stock Rubicon rim. Some shops will mount them while others won't since it's not a "specified size" from Mickey Thompson. When the times comes I'll find out, I suppose.

I have heard that also and will look into that when I go pricing them from a shop. I really do want 35's.

Your response indicates DT will mount 35’s (8” wheel approved) on 7.5’s? Also, trade in value for low mileage pull offs? Or are these questions franchise dependent? A local shop will but prefer Discount/America’s Tire.

That being said the store will at times allow trade in's but the amount depends on the condition of the tires, and the marketability in your area. I would recommend speaking to the store Manager or Senior to see if they can make an offer on your tires.

Question number one? My local store refused to repair a tire because it was over their “age” rules. It was a high mileage high dollar Michelin, (lesson learned, will not repeat) so much for “free” repair. Very picky on “rules” , leading to 8” recommended tires on 7.5” wheels question.

I am ready to look for tires. Here is what I would like to do. 35x12.5x17 on my stock wheel if I can. Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T or Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx. 2019 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. No Lift. If I have to get wheels, I will do that and bring them in to mount tires.
