Coolant leak , TSB for 2.0

Hello, I’m grateful I found this thread! 2019 JL, 2.0 Turbo same exact issue. I also just purchased the hose assembly. Thanks for the link! I was trying to identify the part number for a couple days. It is odd how the antifreeze almost calcifies. Mine looked like it burped out of that connection down to the trans and I wasn’t sure if it was a cooler line due to the appearance and viscosity of the red fluid.
yes, this appears to be common now and Jeep should do something about it.

Same issue at 74k miles check engine light came on!
Agree 100% they need to issue a customer satisfaction notice. I’m guessing if enough of us complain to FCA Recall Assistance Center at 1-800-853-1403 maybe we’ll get lucky???? LOL or it could be like it is whenever I plug in my iPhone and begin playing music Uconnect system reboots and have to reset clock still waiting for them to get that sorted too

I got tag-teamed by this issue yesterday. I was going to change my spark plugs and I removed the cowling to find a crust around my heater hose at the T. I stupidly scraped off the crust and the line blew when I started the jeep after the spark plug change. cool, get the replacement part 68280800AE from a CDJ 30 mins away. replaced. Start the jeep, brought it to temp... see bubbling near reservoir, touch the hose and it flies off spraying coolant everywhere. now I gotta wait til Monday to get new part 68364312AC Jeep has 70022 miles on it

This is a known issue with the 2.0L. That fitting gets cooked being right next to the turbo. Had to replace that fitting twice now, until I decided to fix it once and for all...

Tell us more. Did you fabricate it yourself ? Or is it an aftermarket part available somewhere?

if it really due to heat soak from nearby heat source how about a heat shield? There are some options available online that can be cut to shape and size.
Or perhaps heat reflecting tape around it ?

I designed it but didn't machine it, which is the hard part. I can't say much more or I'll will be violating commercial posting policies.
I guess you could wrap the plastic fitting in some kind of heat shield, but I still wouldn't trust it to last that long.
Same with the reservoir tank why not replace it with an aluminum one and not have to worry.
Talking about the tank the stock plastic caps suck too, the top threaded part snaps off all the time. I'll be looking at making a better one of those too.
